Shatalol is a video installation that aims to explore from a visual and social point of view the contrast between the two sides of the city of Guwahati that are divided by the Brahmaputra river. Images and voices will be used to illustrate the explosion in urban development in contrast to the traditional aspects of this society. Religion and society are presented as the backdrop to, a city confronting its economic need to copy the western model of development, for better or worse.
